The Issue
Best estimates reveal a horrifying reality: over 35,000 innocent citizens languish in America’s prisons, while another 100,000 endure the cruel sentence of Death by Incarceration (DBI), better known as Life Without Parole (LWP). These punitive practices directly contradict the teachings of Jesus, who championed forgiveness and redemption. Instead, these life sentences function as de facto death penalties crushing any chance for forgiveness or second chances.

Nowhere is this more evident than in Arizona, particularly in Maricopa County, a disturbing leader in doling out DBI sentences under the shadow of decades-long judicial misconduct. The recent cases speak volumes:
